At Last Man Standing, we believe in bringing people together through the love of functional fitness. Over the years, we have built a community that is centered around inclusivity and authenticity to enable athletes to reach new heights, achieve their goals and connect with like-minded individuals. 

 

There is a spot for everyone at Last Man Standing, from the beginners right through to the elites. So no matter what your fitness level may be, you are able to find a category and event that is suited for you. Our workouts are well-rounded; filled with endurance, strength and technical movements tailored to your level and functional fitness as a whole. 

 

As we head into the 2022 season, there will be Last Man Standing Events across South Africa and we are excited to see you compete.

Individual

  • 3 Scaling Divisions: Beginner / Intermediate / Elite

  • 2 Age Subcategories within each division apply: 40-49 / 50 +

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division will be awarded a podium finish

  • 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Acknowledgement in each subcategory

​​Example:​

  • You are a 52-year-old individual male.

  • You place 15th in the Male Intermediate Division – You do not place on the podium

  • However, in your subcategory of 50+, you place 2nd – You will receive an acknowledgement of your achievement within this subcategory (Male Intermediate – 50+)

  • Conversely, should you place 3rd in the Male Intermediate Division - You will place 3rd on the podium (Male Intermediate) as well as receive a 2nd place acknowledgement of your achievement within your subcategory (Male Intermediate – 50+)

Team

  • 3 Scaling Divisions: Beginner / Intermediate / Elite

  • Format: 2 x Male & 2 x Female

  • Team members can comprise of individuals of any age who are eligible to compete

  • Team members DO NOT have to be from the same Facility

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division will be awarded a podium finish

 

Example:​

  • You are a 56-year-old female and wish to compete in a team with your 17-year-old son, you are eligible to do so.

  • You are a 56-year-old female and wish to compete in a team with your 15-year-old son, he is NOT eligible to do so.

* Please note that below is a guide to assist you in correctly choosing your division. In no way does this limit or constrain the organisers to scaling and or adjustments to movements. Athletes with any queries as to their division choice should confirm with their coach or trainer.

 

** Last Man Standing reserves the right to adjust or amend an athletes division at their sole discretion, athletes competing in an incorrect division or scaling based on various factors, will be requested to move accordingly. Finalisation of entry including division choice is subject to final approval by the organiser.
